The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), has pledged a thorough appraisal of the underutilised Port Harcourt Technical and Vocational Centre to identify and resolve issues limiting its effective operation.
Ibas committed to an inspection tour of key government projects, including the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex and the vocational centre located in Old GRA, Port Harcourt.
He emphasised the critical role of technical and vocational education in developing a skilled workforce, boosting economic growth, and reducing youth unemployment in the state.
According to him, leaving the facility dormant is not an option, stressing that the government is determined to revitalise infrastructure that supports youth empowerment and long-term development.
