Neurologist Warns Against Stigma for Dementia Patients
A consultant neurologist at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Dr Temitope Farombi, has urged Nigerians to stop stigmatising people living with dementia. Speaking during a public campaign in Ibadan organised to mark World Alzheimer’s Day 2025, she explained that dementia is a medical condition linked to ageing, not a spiritual attack as many believe.
