Adamawa Traditional Leaders Promise to Provide Education

Dr. Garba Umar Pella, Adamawa State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development.

Emirs and Chiefs in Adamawa have vowed to ensure that every child in the state has access to quality education, thereby reducing the number of out-of-school children. The leaders disclosed this on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the high-level orientation meeting organised by the Adamawa State Government and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), supported by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

In addition, they promised to use their traditional influence to enhance community participation and advocate for addressing the out-of-school syndrome in the state. Dr. Garba Umar Pella, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, appreciated the rulers for participating in the change process.
