Bolade Adesokan Seeks Support for UI’s Artificial Pitch

Marketing communication expert Bolade Adesokan has appealed to corporate organisations to support the Ex-University of Ibadan Footballers Association (EX-UIFA) in its plan to build a 5-aside artificial football pitch on the UI campus.

Speaking at the association’s virtual programme, Adesokan described the project as a good opportunity for companies and service providers connected to Nigeria’s premier university to give back through a project that will benefit the entire community. He mentioned that contractors, insurance companies, banks, and pension fund managers who have enjoyed strong ties with UI should partner with alumni to make the dream come true.

As an alumnus himself, Adesokan urged EX-UIFA members to first contribute among themselves before asking for external help. He explained that the proposed pitch will serve as a place for exercise, relaxation, and also strengthen the bond between old students and the school.

According to the association, the project will not only stand as a lasting legacy for UI but also provide branding opportunities for corporate sponsors.
