Dangote Varsity to Honour Mangal, Kwankwaso, and Others with Doctorate Degrees

The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Kano, has announced plans to confer honourary doctorate degrees on five distinguished Nigerians for their outstanding contributions to national development.

The recipients are Alhaji Dahiru Mangal, Chief Author Eze, Dr. Adeniyi Raji (SAN), Alhaji Ado Mohammad, and Senator Musa Kwankwaso.

Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Musa Yakasai, disclosed this on Tuesday during a pre-convocation press briefing in Wudil. He said the awardees were carefully selected based on their humanitarian services and selfless commitment to the country.

Yakasai also revealed that the convocation ceremony will begin on Wednesday, with a total of 18,000 graduates from the last seven years set to be honoured.

He assured that adequate security measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of lives and property throughout the event.

The vice-chancellor further announced that Alhaji Aliko Dangote will be reappointed as the university’s Chancellor for a second term. At the same time, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf will serve as the university visitor during the ceremony.

Prof. Yakasai thanked the state government for providing the necessary support and logistics to ensure a smooth convocation.
