The Federal Government has released the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) results for admission into Junior Secondary School 1 (JSS1) in Nigeria’s 80 Federal Unity Colleges. The results for the Federal Government Academy (FGA) in Suleja were also announced.
At a press conference in Abuja, Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad, stated that the examination, conducted by NECO on June 14, had 64,578 registered candidates. Out of these, 61,290 sat for the test while 3,288 were absent. Thirteen students scored the highest mark of 202 out of 210, while 27 scored the lowest mark of 1. However, 52 candidates—50 from Rivers and two from Lagos—were caught cheating on the examination.
For FGA Suleja, 3,421 registered, 3,141 wrote the examination, and 280 were absent. The highest score was 194. Prof. Ahmad said admission would follow the 60% merit, 30% state equality, and 10% exigency rule. She promised continued efforts to improve facilities and learning in Unity colleges.
