The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), has instituted a committee to review staff members’ conditions of service.
According to Prof. Adenike Oladiji, the vice chancellor (VC), the last review was done in 2017, and the institution is long overdue for another.
The VC elaborated that the committee will oversee different issues, including conditions of service, staff remuneration, and leave.
She added that addressing and evaluating these matters will assist the management in decision-making.
Prof. Adeyewa, the 15-member committee chairman, pledged the group’s readiness to create a document that meets the needs of the institution and its staff.
