Godwin Oyedokun Appointed as First Executive Director of ICTRD

The International Centre for Tax Research and Development (ICTRD) has named Godwin Oyedokun as its first-ever Executive Secretary.

The centre, a non-profit organisation focused on promoting effective taxation in Nigeria and beyond, believes that Oyedokun’s vast experience in both local and international tax systems will play a crucial role in helping the government use taxation as a tool for public benefit.

Oyedokun, a seasoned tax expert with over 25 years of professional experience and more than 27 local and international qualifications, expressed his commitment to the role.

He pledged to mobilise all available resources, both internal and external, to strengthen ICTRD’s operations and expand its influence in line with its mission and strategic goals.

He also stated that he is determined to work towards a more developed society and a stronger economy.

Morenike Tejuade Babington-Ashaye, the founder of ICTRD, expressed complete confidence in the appointment, describing Oyedokun as a perfect fit for the role due to his impressive track record.

She believes that under his leadership, the centre will reach new heights.

Oyedokun holds a PhD in Taxation and serves as a senior lecturer in the Accounting Department at Nasarawa State University.

He is a member of the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and currently chairs the council’s Education Committee.

He also co-founded OGE Professional Services Ltd and is the President of OGE Business School.
