Governor Abiodun Appoints Ifede Joshua as SUBEB Chairman, Constitutes Key Agency Boards

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has approved the appointment of governing boards for several major agencies in the state, naming Ifede Joshua as the new Chairman of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

The announcement was made in a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, who listed other members of the newly reconstituted SUBEB board as Femi Odufowokan, Isiaka Aderounmu, Abiodun Donald Ajayi, and Akeem Balogun. Ex-officio members include Mrs. Kemi Adeogun, Wale Adeogun, Waheed Ogundele, Stephen Kolawole Odusanya, and Moroof Paramole. The move is part of the governor’s efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across key sectors in the state.

In addition to the SUBEB board, Yemi Adelani has been appointed Chairman of the Ogun State Housing Corporation. Other members of the housing board include Suraju Logere, Fatai Ajigbare, Olalotan Olusegun, Sunday Sowunmi, Sogbamu Ayinde, Kolawole Isola, Abiola Logere, Idowu Olumuyiwa, Adeyinka Adeleye, and Adenle Nojeem.

Also named was Johnson Fatoki as Chairman of the Ogun State Water Corporation, with Akeran Jimoh, Femi Oyebanjo, Gafar Balogun, Omowunmi Adewale, and Mrs. Ganiyat Abiola Busari as members. For traffic management, Wale Habeeb Ajayi was appointed Chairman of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Board (TRACE), while Waliu Taiwo will head the Ogun State Agricultural Development Corporation. The governor’s appointments are expected to bring new energy and direction to these key government bodies, helping to deliver better infrastructure, education, and public service outcomes for the people of Ogun State.
