Greensprings Digital University has named Professor Boyomo Assala Laurent-Charles as its new Vice Chancellor, strengthening the institution’s academic leadership.
Professor Boyomo, a Cameroonian academic with more than four decades of teaching and administrative experience, is widely regarded as one of Africa’s leading voices in media and communication studies.
Educated in Cameroon and France, he earned a doctorate in Press Communication from the University of Paris II and later gained accreditation to supervise research at the Sorbonne. His career spans teaching and administration at the Universities of Yaoundé I and II, Douala, and the National School of Administration and Magistracy. He also served as Director of the Advanced School of Mass Communication (ASMAC) at Yaoundé II.
Beyond his teaching, Professor Boyomo has contributed to international research, serving on scientific committees and editorial boards. His publications range from media economics and law to political anthropology and public policy.
Greensprings Digital University, which describes itself as a hub for digital education and innovation in Africa, said its appointment would help drive its mission to provide cutting-edge knowledge and ethical leadership in the digital age.
