A public primary school in Badagari, Kaduna State, is in a dire state, with only one teacher handling all classes and lacking basic amenities such as toilets, furniture, doors, and windows. This sad condition was revealed by civic tech group, Monitng.
The group called the LGEA Primary School in Badagari a “national disgrace” and blamed both past and present governments for ignoring rural education. It said this kind of decay is shocking, especially when states have received over ₦250 billion from the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).
Monitng called on Governor Uba Sani to quickly fix the school, saying the children deserve better. It warned that media praise cannot conceal the truth, and what is happening in Badagari reveals a larger problem in Kaduna’s public schools.
