Two local school districts, Dubuque Community Schools in Iowa and Platteville School District in Wisconsin, have once again received national recognition for their commitment to music education.
The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation named them among 935 Best Communities for Music Education in 2025.
This award highlights schools that work hard to make music accessible to all students.
The recognition was announced earlier this month, showing that these districts continue to support and invest in music programmes despite challenges.
Music education advocates say such efforts are important for student development and community growth.
The NAMM Foundation, a nonprofit organisation that promotes music education, sponsors the award.
This recognition encourages other school districts across the United States to prioritise music learning opportunities for children.
