Isaiah Chukwudi Samuel, a Nigerian graduate student at Northern Illinois University (NIU), has launched a podcast to discuss key issues around education, leadership, and civic engagement.
Samuel explained that he launched The Lumina to share insights with underrepresented communities and those with restricted access. He specified that the bi-weekly podcast is about “democratising access to knowledge.” The podcast has featured experts such as Lisa Dietrich, CEO of the Network of Nations, a nonprofit that supports international students, and Scott Rosenfelder, a retired Deloitte consultant and lecturer at NIU. It has also interviewed Prof. Scot Schraufnagel, a leading expert on US elections.
