Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), visited Corps Member Idowu Babatunde Solomon on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital (MAUTH) in Yola, Adamawa State.
Solomon, a graduate of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, hailing from Offa, Kwara State, was deployed to Adamawa for his national service.
During the orientation camp, Solomon was diagnosed with acute appendicitis at the camp clinic.
He was promptly referred to MAUTH, where he underwent a successful surgical procedure. The NYSC DG expressed gratitude for the successful surgery and wished Solomon a speedy recovery.
General Nafiu commended the medical team at MAUTH for their professionalism in managing the situation.
He also acknowledged the leadership of the hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Professor Adamu Bakari, for ensuring quality healthcare delivery.
Professor Bakari assured the DG that Solomon would receive the necessary care to facilitate his full recovery.
In response, Solomon expressed his appreciation to the NYSC DG for the visit, the Adamawa State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Caroline Osoroh Chinedu, for her support, and the hospital management for their prompt and adequate medical services.
