Ogun House of Assembly Confirms SUBEB Nominees After Screening

Ogun-House-of-Assembly

The Ogun State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of members to the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), following a rigorous screening process.

The confirmation was made during Thursday’s plenary session, presided over by Speaker Oludaisi Elemide, after the adoption of a resolution titled H.R. No. 135/OG/2025 — the committee’s report on the screening of the governor’s nominees. The report was presented by Majority Leader Yusuf Sheriff, who noted that the nominees were found suitable for public office based on their qualifications, credentials, and performance during the screening exercise.

The motion for the report’s adoption was seconded by Minority Leader Lukman Adeleye and unanimously supported by members of the House through a voice vote. The confirmation marks the formal approval of the nominees to assume positions on the board, which oversees the development of basic education across the state.
