The Ondo State Police Command has arrested Boluwatife Abdul, a cult leader and student of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA).
Olayinka Ayanlade, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), said Abdul, who had been on their watchlist, was apprehended during a secret meeting after receiving information from someone in the neighbourhood that some young men were gathered, chanting cult-like slang.
The PPRO explained that the command recovered some dangerous weapons from the meeting site and is now searching for members who fled.
Ayanlade identified the recovered items as one locally fabricated pistol, five big cutlasses, one battle axe, one shisha box, two cult berets, five bottles of Squadron gin, one red knife, and one black hand glove.
