It was a moment of great joy on Thursday, July 3, 2025, as Dr Mrs. Basilia Igbokwe, Rector of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, celebrated the official induction of her second son, Dr Cyprian Uchechukwu Igbokwe, as a medical doctor at Abia State University Teaching Hospital.
The event marked a proud moment for the Igbokwe family, with Dr Cyprian becoming the third doctor in the family, following in the footsteps of his father and elder brother. After years of hard study, Dr Cyprian thanked his parents for their strong support. The family hosted a reception attended by friends, colleagues, and well-wishers. Dr Igbokwe, the proud father, gave thanks to God, while Dr Mrs. Igbokwe encouraged parents to keep supporting their children’s dreams. She also praised Nigerian families for raising professionals despite challenging times. Her leadership at Federal Polytechnic Nekede continues to inspire students and staff alike nationwide.
