Senator Yakubu Oseni, who represents Kogi Central, has earned a PhD in Leadership and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna.
Before joining politics, Oseni worked in banking and later served as Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Board of Internal Revenue, where he introduced major reforms. He recruited young graduates, restructured the agency, and built the Revenue House, which remains a symbol of his efforts in modernising tax administration in the state today.
Senator Oseni’s new academic achievement has enhanced his profile as a lawmaker, combining practical governance experience with advanced strategic knowledge.
Many observers believe his success serves as a reminder to leaders of the importance of continuous learning in improving public service.
