Tecno, UNILAG Launch Digital Skills Career Initiative

Tecno Mobile and the University of Lagos (UNILAG) have partnered to launch a digital skills development programme aimed at enhancing students’ employability and preparing them for modern career demands.

The initiative provides training on coding, digital marketing, app development, and e-commerce platforms. Selected students will also gain access to internship placements and mentorship from industry professionals. The programme aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry needs by equipping participants with practical, marketable skills.

Tecno’s Head of Corporate Social Investment emphasised that the initiative aligns with Nigeria’s economic vision by fostering a tech-savvy workforce capable of driving innovation and entrepreneurship. A UNILAG official expressed optimism that the programme would dramatically increase student opportunities in the digital economy.
