The University of Ibadan (UI), Oyo State, and the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) have vowed to uphold ethical standards in the training of medical professionals.
UI’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof Kayode Adebowale, and Deputy Director of Laboratory Services of MLSCN, Akinola Olugbenga, pledged during the 2025 induction and admission ceremony into the Medical Laboratory Science profession for the 2025 Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS).
The event, held at the Paul Hendrickse Lecture Theatre, marked a significant career milestone for the graduating Class of 2025. The university, through its College of Medicine, inducted 27 graduates into the medical laboratory science profession at its BMLS induction ceremony.
The newly qualified medical laboratory scientists took the professional oath administered by the MLSCN, marking their formal entry into the profession and commitment to uphold its ethical and technical standards.
