An X (formerly Twitter), Lobistars, has exposed several academic irregularities in the country’s educational sector, emphasising students’ indulgence in gambling.
The popular influencer who had just survived gambling addiction stated the need to emphasise gambling risks in the Nigerian education system and introduce preventive measures, further stating that many students now engage in illegal activities. He noted that gambling among students can “destroy education if nothing is done.” In addition, he claimed that easy access to smartphones and the internet contributes to the gambling issue among the young.
