Airtel Africa Foundation open applications for its Undergraduate Tech Scholarship in Nigeria
The Airtel Africa Foundation has opened applications for its Undergraduate Tech Scholarship in Nigeria, targeting first-year university students with strong academic potential in technology-related fields.
The scheme offers full tuition, accommodation, and essential study materials to eligible 100-level students under the Foundation’s F.E.E.D. agenda, which promotes Financial Empowerment, Education, Environmental Protection, and Digital Inclusion.
Participating universities include the University of Lagos, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Ahmadu Bello University, the University of Benin, Obafemi Awolowo University, the University of Ilorin, and Tai Solarin University of Education.
Airtel Nigeria CEO, Dinesh Balsingh, urged students to seize the opportunity, highlighting the role of education in national development and the Foundation’s commitment to nurturing Nigeria’s future tech leaders.
Dr Segun Ogunsanya, Chairman of the Foundation, noted the scholarship aims to provide young Africans with fair access to education, empowering communities and fostering digital innovation.
Applicants must be 100-level students with a JAMB score of at least 230 and five credits in WAEC, including English and Mathematics. Required documents include JAMB results, an admission letter, a WAEC certificate, a student ID, and an academic transcript. The Foundation encourages qualified students to apply and leverage the scholarship to advance their technology careers.
