Anambra Government Distributes Educational Materials

Wife of Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo has flagged-off distribution of educational materials and Digital Tablets to Anambra Schools

Through the Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), the government has distributed essential learning materials to schools across the state.

In collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), this initiative aims to improve the quality and accessibility of education for students in the region.

The distributed materials include textbooks for primary and secondary schools, tablets, novels, magnetic whiteboards, diaries, registers, suggestion boxes, index boxes, exercise books, early childhood toys, and sports equipment.

These resources are expected to enhance teaching and learning for students and educators.

The event, which took place in Awka, was attended by Dr Nonye Soludo, wife of the Anambra State Governor.

Dr Soludo added that the initiative was part of Anambra’s broader strategy to ensure every child in the state has access to quality education as part of the current administration’s commitment to transforming the educational sector.

Dr. Vera Nwadinobi, Executive Chairman of ASUBEB, praised the strengthened relationship between the state and UBEC, enabling this development.

Mrs Aisha Garuba, the Executive Secretary of UBEC, represented by Mr Kingsley Nlewedim, the UBEC Anambra State Coordinator, urged educators to ensure that the materials are appropriately distributed and effectively used in classrooms.

Key figures, including Professor Ngozi Chuma-Ude, the Commissioner for Education, and Professor Nkechi Ikediugwu, Chairman of the Post Primary Schools Service Commission (PPSSC), commended Governor Soludo’s efforts.

They encouraged school heads and teachers to ensure students make the best use of the new materials.
