Atiba University, Oyo, has promoted two senior academics to the rank of professor, following assessments approved by the institution’s governing authorities.
The university stated that the evaluations were conducted in accordance with the National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and acknowledged the scholars’ sustained contributions to teaching and research.
Amos Oyetunde Alabi was named Professor of Educational Management, Policy and Planning. He has published extensively and is credited with shaping educational policy in Nigeria through his research and mentorship of students.
Adeniran Rahman Tella was promoted to the rank of Professor of Strategic Management and Public Policy. With over 45 publications in local and international journals, his work has had a significant influence on corporate strategy and policy analysis.
Vice-Chancellor Sunday Olawale Okeniyi congratulated the academics, saying their achievements reflected the university’s values and would inspire younger scholars. Founder and President of the institution, James Adesokan Ojebode, also praised the promotions as evidence of the calibre of academics Atiba attracts and develops. The university stated that it remained committed to building a vibrant community of scholars recognised for their contributions to knowledge, innovation, and national development
