Facilitators provided training on identifying funders, project planning, budgeting, and proposal writing, along with practical guidance on funding platforms such as Devex, FundsforNGOs, Grants.gov, IDRC (Canada), Wellcome Trust, Gates Foundation, World Bank, AfDB, and EU portals.

The workshop was facilitated by top APHRC experts, including Dr Joseph Gichuru, Deputy Executive Director; Dr Patrick Owilo, Programme Manager; Prof. Marcella Mwaka, Training Coordinator; Dr Kirimi Sindi, Programme Manager; Dr Gift Dzombo, Programme Coordinator; and Kevin Kiiru, Programme Accountant.

A major highlight was the group task involving participants from three countries who jointly developed and presented grant proposals. The event concluded with certificate presentations and a group photograph.
