A student of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Yahaya Lawan Muhammad, has emerged the winner of the 2025 Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS) National Quiz Competition.
The keenly contested event, held during the PANS National Convention tagged EPIC’25, drew pharmacy students from universities across Nigeria to compete in the prestigious Paul Bayo National Quiz.
The competition, held on October 9, 2025, tested participants’ mastery of core pharmacy disciplines, including Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Microbiology, and Pharmaceutical Technology.
BUK advanced to the final stage alongside Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State University (KASU), University of Jos (UNIJOS), and Gombe State University (GSU). Yahaya clinched first place, while ABU Zaria and KASU came second and third, respectively.
Expressing gratitude after his win, Yahaya thanked his parents, lecturers, and teammates for their support. His victory, he said, was “a proud moment at the national level.”
