The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has issued a public brief, stating that Nigerians, including students, can now make international payments from their naira accounts using the CBN’s Form A portal.
The apex bank noted that it has enabled the forex exchange window for the payment of eligible services such as school fees and training courses. Following the new policy, Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), in a notice to customers on Monday, July 28, 2025, confirmed the availability of this service for undergraduates and postgraduates paying tuition fees abroad. The Form A payments will also offer a more reliable channel for settling tuition payments at a fair foreign exchange rate.
