CBN Initiates Currency Education

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has organised a currency education programme in Lagos to protect and preserve the Naira’s dignity.

The currency education campaign, which the bank called ‘CBN Fair’, was held in Maryland with students from tertiary institutions, youth groups, policy makers, financial institutions, and fintech innovators in attendance. Speaking at the sensitisation programme themed “Driving Alternative Payment Channels as Tools for Financial Inclusion, Growth and Accelerated Economic Development,’ Mrs Hakama Sidi Ali, CBN’s Acting Director, Corporate Communications Department, said the CBN Fair was created to engage with stakeholders on the CBN’s policies for Nigeria’s growth.
