The Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, Delta State, has entered into a partnership with OIDA Energy Nigeria Limited to enhance the training of oil and gas professionals in Nigeria and the West African sub-region.
The agreement was sealed on Monday after an OIDA delegation, led by Team Service Manager Sunday Adat, inspected PTI’s facilities. According to Adat, the collaboration aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and field practice.
He explained that trainees would gain hands-on exposure to modern technologies and real-world problem-solving, adding that this would prepare them for the actual workplace. The initiative is also expected to boost the technical competence of Nigeria’s energy workforce and support the growth of the oil and gas industry.
With this move, PTI and OIDA aim to produce highly skilled graduates who can make meaningful contributions to organisations across the region’s energy sector.
