Faculty of Nursing and the Department of Medical Laboratory Science students at Chrisland University, Abeokuta
Students from the Faculty of Nursing and the Department of Medical Laboratory Science at Chrisland University, Abeokuta, achieved a 100 per cent pass rate in their recent professional qualifying examinations. The results were confirmed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) and the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), the bodies responsible for licensing graduates in the respective disciplines.
The achievement places Chrisland University among the top-performing institutions in Nigeria for the 2025 examination cycle. The pass rate includes the university’s first cohort of Medical Laboratory Science graduates, marking a milestone for the programme.
Faculty leaders attributed the results to structured academic programmes, practical training, and oversight by experienced lecturers. The outcome aligns with the university’s health sciences curriculum and emphasises preparing graduates for professional practice.
The success follows similar trends in private Nigerian universities where targeted faculty support and rigorous preparatory programmes have been shown to improve licensure results. The performance of Chrisland University graduates is likely to contribute to the pool of qualified healthcare professionals in Nigeria’s health system.
