The Kogi State College of Education (Technical) has expressed its intention to partner with the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) to enhance food security and agricultural development, and reduce poverty in Africa.
Mr. Tunde Seidu, the college librarian who represented Dr. M.K. Ibrahim, the provost, described the institution’s strengths as its approximately 400 hectares of arable land and its human resources. He requested that Dr Rufus Olorunfemi Idris, AGRA’s Country Director, sponsor agricultural sciences students who would become entrepreneurs after graduating from the college. Responding to the request, Idris promised to sponsor 25 students.
