Abuja lawyer and social commentator Deji Adeyanju has donated a total of N8 million to two top graduates of the Nigerian Law School in recognition of their excellent academic performance.
The cash gifts were presented at his law firm office in Abuja on Friday. Oluwabusayo Ifonlaja, who won 18 academic awards and was named the overall best graduating student, received a cash prize of N5 million. Maryam Abiodun Lawal, the best female graduate and the second-best overall, received N3 million.
Adeyanju said the reward was to celebrate their hard work, discipline, and determination. He hopes their success will inspire other young lawyers. The two young lawyers were among the group recently called to the Nigerian Bar. Adeyanju encouraged students to aim high and remain focused, noting that excellence always gets noticed and rewarded. He said he was proud to honour the brilliant minds shaping the future of Nigeria’s legal profession.
