Over 2,000 youths in Okpella, Edo State, are set to benefit from a new education initiative sponsored by Hon. Dekeri Anamero, the lawmaker representing Etsako Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
The initiative called the Okpella Education Awareness Tour 2025, aims to encourage young people to embrace education and personal development. The theme of the four-day tour is “Education for All: Empowering Every Child, Inspiring Every Gender.” The National Association of Okpella Students (NAOS), in a press statement signed by the convener, Comrade Covenant Samuel, praised Hon. Anamero for his strong support in promoting youth education and development in rural communities.
Comrade Samuel stated that the tour, which will commence on July 1, 2025, will visit the Afokpella, Awuyemi, Iddo, and Ogute Town Halls in Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area. “This is more than just an outreach. It is a movement to bring back the importance of education to every household in Okpella,” he said.
He also stated that the initiative would deliver a powerful message of hope, learning, and empowerment to children and young people in the area. “We thank our sponsor, Hon. Anamero, for believing in the power of education and for helping us start a new chapter in the lives of our youths,” the statement added.
