Ekiti Launches Arts Contest for Schools

The Ekiti State Government has launched a creative arts competition for all secondary schools in the state, aiming to promote talent among students. The event, titled All Ekiti All Secondary Schools Creative Arts Competition, will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the Civic Centre in Ado Ekiti.

Prof. Rasaki Bakare, Commissioner for Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, stated that the goal is to sharpen students’ skills in painting, sculpture, drawing, crafts, and other related areas. Each school will be represented by two students, preferably one male and one female. Participants are expected to illustrate the achievements of Governor Biodun Oyebanji through their art. The top 10 schools will receive cash prizes and awards.

The first-place winner will receive ₦400,000 and a trophy, second place will receive ₦250,000 and a plaque, while third place will receive ₦200,000 and a certificate. Schools placing fourth to tenth will receive ₦50,000 each as consolation prizes.
