Theresa Pamma, a spokesperson for climate change at the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), has shed light on the objectives of the UNICEF Green Rising Project at Ahmadu Bello University. She informed the institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adamu Ahmed, that the initiative was to build the capacity of youths in respect of climate change intervention. Pamma, also a specialist in water, sanitation, and hygiene, told the Vice-Chancellor that she was at the university to appreciate the partnership between ABU and UNICEF. She further stressed the importance of maintaining the ties between the two organisations as Ahmadu Bello University has a history of tree planting. Pamma encouraged the institution to continue preserving its history of environmental friendliness as part of its effort to maintain the partnership. She called on students of the institution to continue advocating for the planting of trees even after graduation
