The Federal College of Education (FCE), Ofeme, Umuahia, has announced that it will hold its first matriculation ceremony on Friday, September 26, 2025. The event, scheduled for 10 a.m. on the college premises, will formally admit the pioneer set of students into the newly established institution.
According to the school’s Public Relations Department, the ceremony marks a significant milestone in the college’s life, celebrating not only the students but also the dedication of staff who helped lay its academic and administrative foundation.
Education stakeholders, community leaders, and guests are expected to grace the occasion, which underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to expanding access to quality teacher education in the South-East.
Established to strengthen teacher training in Nigeria, FCE Ofeme aims to produce competent educators who can meet global standards. The college says the matriculation will position Ofeme as an emerging hub for academic growth in Abia State and beyond.
