The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has confirmed that candidates caught engaging in malpractice during its 2025/2026 Post-UTME online screening will not be admitted.
The University of Lagos’ Communication Unit stated on Friday that 20,464 candidates participated in the exercise, which took place from September 1 to 4, 2025. However, some candidates violated examination guidelines, prompting the university to take action.
“In line with the university’s zero-tolerance policy for examination malpractice, such candidates will, based on the outcome of our ongoing investigations and reviews, be rendered ineligible for admission,” the statement said.
The university added that it holds verifiable evidence of the infractions and urged candidates to rely on official communication channels for updates.
UNILAG reiterated its commitment to protecting the integrity of its admissions process, emphasising that any breach of rules would result in disqualification.
The notice serves as a warning to candidates that compliance with examination rules is mandatory, and any attempts to circumvent the system will not be tolerated.
