The Federal Ministry of Education has commenced applications for the 2024/2025 Nigerian Scholarship Award (NSA) and Education Bursary Award (EBA), targeting eligible students in public tertiary institutions nationwide.
The application window opened on April 18, 2025, and will close on May 29, 2025.
The NSA is available to full-time undergraduate, HND, and postgraduate students in federal or state universities, polytechnics, and monotechnics.
Postgraduate applicants must possess a first degree with at least a Second-Class Upper Division, while undergraduate and HND applicants should be in their second year or higher, maintaining a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale, 5.0 on a 7.0 scale, or 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for HND students.
The EBA is designed for full-time students pursuing education-related programs at Nigerian public colleges and universities.
Applicants must be in their second year or above and not be beneficiaries of any other government-funded scholarship.
Successful NSA candidates will receive annual grants ranging from ₦150,000 to ₦300,000, depending on their level of study, while EBA beneficiaries will be awarded ₦150,000 per annum, renewable until graduation.

Applicants must complete the online application form, upload the required documents, including admission letter, academic transcript or CGPA statement, certificate of state of origin, and National Identity Number (NIN) and print the completed form for reference.
The Ministry has stated that the application process is free of charge and cautions applicants against engaging with unauthorised agents.
