FGGC Abuloma Alumni Donate ICT, STEAM Facilities

The Federal Government Girls College (FGGC) Abuloma Alumni Association has donated 23 laptops and four STEAM-enabled smart classrooms to their alma mater as part of activities marking the school’s 50th anniversary in Port Harcourt.

The new facilities are expected to strengthen digital learning and promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education in the school.

Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Alausa, represented by the Principal of Federal Government College, Port Harcourt, Mrs Inyang Ukpe, described the donation as a boost to the federal government’s efforts to enhance digital literacy and academic excellence across unity schools.

He said the contributions by the old students reflect a strong sense of commitment to education and national development, adding that the partnership between the alumni and the college underscores the importance of community participation in improving learning standards.

The minister also praised the school’s consistency in promoting national integration and academic excellence over the past five decades.
