The Ibiya Development Foundation has announced a ₦1.2 billion investment in community development projects across Nigeria, aimed at improving education, water access, and social welfare.
The initiative was unveiled after the foundation’s inaugural Board of Trustees meeting in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.
Secretary of the Foundation, Dr Buchy Asogwa, said the projects include the renovation of 200 primary schools nationwide, the drilling of 200 boreholes to improve access to clean water, and educational support for 200 students from Yobe State.
Dr Asogwa explained that the foundation, established by Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Tumsa, seeks to empower individuals and communities by providing resources and creating sustainable opportunities.
He urged philanthropists and development partners to collaborate with the foundation to expand its reach, particularly in supporting youths, students, orphans, widows, and people living with disabilities.
