Peter Obi Donates ₦2m to Fix Abuja School

Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has expressed sadness over the poor state of facilities at Tungan Nasara LEA Primary School in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), especially its toilets.

Obi, who visited the school after being informed of its condition, said the unhygienic toilets pose serious health risks to both pupils and teachers. Moved by what he saw, he donated ₦2 million to help build proper toilets and improve the school’s learning environment.

The 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate shared the visit on his X handle on Friday, explaining that he was alerted about the school’s plight by Dr Moses Paul, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) chairmanship candidate for AMAC.

Obi said his action is part of his ongoing commitment to supporting education across Nigeria. “No child should be made to learn in such terrible conditions,” he stated, urging authorities to prioritise the welfare of pupils in public schools.
