The Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, has approved the appointment of Mrs Margaret Oluyemisi Abifarin as the institution’s substantive Polytechnic Librarian following her successful performance in the selection interview.
Abifarin joined the Polytechnic in 2013 as Principal Librarian cum Serial Librarian and rose to the rank of Chief Librarian in 2020. Before joining FPA, she served at Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, where she held several key positions, including Acting Polytechnic Librarian.
An accomplished professional and Chartered Librarian, Abifarin holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Ilorin and a Master’s in Library, Archival and Information Studies from the University of Ibadan. She is currently at the pre-field stage of her PhD programme in Library and Information Science at Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State.
Widely published in both local and international journals, Abifarin has attended numerous conferences and received awards for ethical conduct and professional excellence.
