The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has warned new students that violations of university rules could lead to suspension or expulsion, amid concerns about growing campus misconduct.
Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Festus Adeosun, addressed freshmen on September 19 during orientation, urging them to prioritise their studies and maintain discipline. He cited examination malpractice, cultism, indecent dressing, and disregard for university regulations as behaviours that could result in sanctions.
Professor Adeosun stated that the university remains committed to teaching, research, and community service, emphasising that students must avoid distractions that could hinder their academic progress.
The orientation programme drew hundreds of newly admitted students, marking the start of their university journey.
