Aptech, a leading vocational training and IT education brand in Nigeria, has signed a landmark articulation agreement with the International School of Management (ISM), Germany, creating a direct pathway for Nigerian students to complete their undergraduate studies in Europe.
The agreement allows graduates of Aptech’s Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering (ADSE) programme to gain direct entry into the final year of ISM’s B.Sc. Information Systems degree across any of its seven campuses in Germany. Successful students will complete 13 additional modules to graduate with a globally recognised degree, while also qualifying for Germany’s 18-month post-study work visa.
The signing took place at ISM’s headquarters in Dortmund, with Aptech’s Executive Vice President of International Business, Kallol Mukherjee, and ISM’s Managing Director, Prof. Audrey Mehn, formalising the partnership. “Germany is fast becoming the preferred global study destination due to its strong economy, robust academic-industry linkages, and affordable tuition. This collaboration allows Aptech’s Nigerian students to earn a dual qualification and pursue international careers,” Mukherjee said.
Prof. Mehn described the deal as “a bridge between skill-based training and academic excellence,” praising the ADSE programme for producing technically skilled graduates ready to thrive in Europe’s tech-driven economy. The partnership offers Nigerian students cost savings, global exposure, and increased employability, with internship and career opportunities in Germany’s booming IT and digital technology sectors. Aptech, which has operated in Nigeria for over 20 years with 40 centres nationwide, says the partnership is part of a broader strategy to open global doors for African students.
