Nigeria’s indigenous Technology Company, Globacom, has unveiled the Gloshare and Mobile Community plan, a revolutionary platform designed to enhance academic and social connections among students of Kwara State University (KWASU).
The launch took place at the KWASU Campus in Malete, Kwara State, where Globacom introduced Gloshare, a blended learning system that enables students to access educational materials on the school portal without incurring data usage charges. “We also have the Closed user group lines, which makes it possible to have everyone in the KWASU community on the same platform, where students and staff can interact freely on their CUG lines”, Enterprise South West Regional Head, Mr. Adewale Adiatu, disclosed at the launch.
Mr. Adeniyi Odejobi, Enterprise National Vertical Head, Glo Enterprise Sales, also stated at the event that the company has installed multiple sites on the campus to ensure the seamless performance of Gloshare and Mobile Community lines. The Vice Chancellor of KWASU, Prof. Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, hailed the launch as a historic and futuristic moment, emphasising the transformative impact of Gloshare and the Mobile Community plan on communication, connectivity, and collaboration among students.
