IHS Nigeria, a subsidiary of IHS Holding Limited, has released its 2023–2024 Impact Report, highlighting sustainability and community-focused initiatives across the country.
The report, covering activities from January 2023 to December 2024, showed the company’s alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, its four-pillar sustainability strategy, and the Nigerian government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
In digital innovation, IHS supported the Ilorin Innovation Hub in Kwara State, set to become Nigeria’s largest, alongside centres in Ogbomosho and Alimosho.
The company also partnered with the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy on the 3 Million Technical Talent initiative, training over 100,000 Nigerians. Additionally, 10 Nigerian educators joined the Limitless Global Educator Programme, which included a visit to NASA’s Space Centre.
In education, IHS partnered with UNICEF to enhance school connectivity, supporting 956 schools, of which 421 now have internet access, enabling the Nigerian Learning Passport under UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited initiative.
On the environmental front, IHS planted 4,000 trees nationwide, installed 144 solar streetlights in eight states, and equipped 6,747 tower sites with hybrid power solutions to reduce diesel reliance. More than 700 students also received eco-friendly learning tools.
