President Tinubu has signed into law two bills requesting the establishment of two tertiary institutions in Bende, Abia State.
The institutions are the Federal College of Education, Bende, and the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Bende. Responding to the approval, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, former Abia State governor and Senate Chief Whip, thanked the President, the Deputy Speaker, and other members of the National Assembly.
The deputy speaker stated that the new institutions will offer quality education and research opportunities. He added that the Federal College of Education would offer full-time courses and training in applied sciences, management, arts, social sciences, technology, humanities, and commerce.
