KWASU Don Honoured at Chemistry Conference

A professor at Kwara State University (KWASU), Aliru Olajide Mustapha, has been conferred with the fellowship of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN).

The recognition was announced on Thursday at the society’s 48th Annual International Conference, held at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Professor Mustapha, who heads KWASU’s Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry Department and also directs the university’s Career Services Centre, was awarded for his contributions to analytical, environmental and industrial chemistry.

Themed “Chemistry for a Resilient Future: Innovations in Energy, Health, Agro-Processing and the Environment,” the conference drew experts from across the country to explore how chemistry can help tackle Nigeria’s pressing challenges. With the award, Professor Mustapha is now entitled to use the post-nominal “FCSN.”
