Mind Builders Schools in Lagos have celebrated an exceptional performance in the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), with every graduating student recording distinctions across nearly all subjects, including English and Mathematics.
At a colourful ceremony, students, parents, and staff were rewarded with gifts, plaques and cash prizes. Guests applauded continuously as names were called, marking a high point in an examination year when only 62.96% of candidates nationwide earned five credits, including English and Mathematics, a drop from 2024.
Educational Director of Mind Builders, Mrs Bolajoko Falore, described the feat as proof of the school’s vision. “Since our humble beginnings in 1998, we have been guided by our motto: Building Your Child for Tomorrow’s Challenges,” she said. “Our string of successes speaks volumes about the strength of our foundation, and the collective will of our leadership, staff, and parents.”
Falore highlighted the school’s contributions to Nigeria’s education sector: nurturing graduates who excel in top universities, combining strong academics with moral instruction, and embracing innovation. She noted that despite economic challenges, resilience and prudent management had kept the school steady.
Chairman of the ceremony, Mr Sesan Obe, CEO of Centre Base Consult Limited, urged the students to see their success as a starting point. “Greatness is not about the size of your name but the strength of your character,” he told them. He advised them to hold onto discipline, courage, service, faith and vision as “building blocks of greatness.”
As the graduates bid farewell, the event’s theme, “Tech Drives: Shaping the Future of Learning,” reflected the institution’s emphasis on preparing students not just to pass examinations but to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
