The Lagos State Government (LASG) has reassured the general public of its commitment to promote professionalism, particularly in the education and health sectors. This was disclosed at the third matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students of the Lagos State College of Nursing, Igando, for the 2024/2025 academic session held at the school premises.
Adeniran Kasali, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tertiary Education, read a statement signed by Tolani Sule, the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, discussing the importance of marking such a ceremony.
The educationist hailed the governor for appointing a new provost and upholding the T.H.E.M.E.S. Plus agenda, particularly in the health and environmental sectors. The commissioner advised the students to remain focused, creative, and innovative in the fast-growing tech world.
Dr Ayodeji Ogunmuyiwa, the College Provost, encouraged the students to pursue academic excellence. Recall that the administration recently appointed Ogunmuyiwa as the new provost of Lagos State College of Nursing, Igando. The institution hopes to provide better access to quality education for students within the state.
